Hourly Rate
The hourly rate for a domestic search is calculated by the package you choose above. If an international search is necessary, you will be quoted separately for the number of hours required, rate, and a full search plan. If your entire search is international in nature, please don’t purchase a package above, rather contact us so we can discuss.
It is our policy never to exceed your total price without your express permission.
Disbursements
We do not charge for administration and technology disbursements, such as long distance telephone, photocopy, fax, regular mail, storage and security. However, additional disbursements, such as fees for government documents, courier, priority post, and translation fees, are additional charges billed at cost and will be quoted to you by your research as they arrise. No additional fees will be incurred without your express permission.
Additional Hours
We will not exceed your authorized search hours without your express permission. In the event that the initial hours are insufficient to complete the required research and reporting, a recommendation will be provided for purchasing an additional package from above.
Researcher Assignment
Once you’ve purchased a package, we will create your account on our online research suite and connect you directly to your professional genealogists. You’ll be able to interact directly with your researcher within our online platform, provide all records/data that you have, discuss the goals of your research, and see what results are uncovered by your genealogist. Furthermore, all found records will be available for viewing, sharing, and downloading.
Your project will not begin until you’ve had an opportunity to discuss your goals with your genealogist and an opportunity to set a deadline.
Final Report
At the completion of the search, you will receive a written Final Report in the format requested. The Final Report will be court-ready, and will include all supporting documentation required to establish identities of the parties referred to in the Final Report; and if applicable, a family tree will be customized to include the names, birth and death dates, corresponding exhibit numbers and references to the individual paragraphs in the report. The Final Report will also be provided in digital format for you to download from our online project management platform.
Payment Terms
All major credit cards are accepted. You can also forward a check (please contact us for instructions). Any unused portion of your payment will not be refunded after the conclusion of your search. Research will not commence until payment has been received and has cleared with sufficient funds.
